We are so excited to share with you the success of the Tacloban, San Miguel Leyte trip. God has truly been faithful and good! The people received us warmly and our accommodations were excellent! The Saturday family reunion turned out well. About 65 of our immediate relatives came to the gathering. We got a really good deal on catering and the food and service was great. After eating, we shared to them about the ministry that three of us are involved with – F.I.S.H.E.R.S. Ministries as well as gave them a word of encouragement and challenge to know God more personally in their own individual lives. God helped us plant seeds of his love through words and actions and we trust that He will continue to work in the hearts and lives of our relatives over there.

The next day, we had the awesome privilege of ministering to the farmers in San Miguel, Leyte. We were only expecting 50 kids but about 110 showed up. Everyone enjoyed the activities we had prepared for them. There was face painting, crafts, games, singing and dancing performances from some of the children and of course, eating. We taught the kids a couple of songs and shared with them how much Jesus truly loves them. Everyone enjoyed their time, even the adults that were present. At the end of the day, we distributed zip lock bags full of goodies and necessities for each family that were present as well as the Waray Version of the Bible to them.

Overall, the ministering to our family and the farmers in Tacloban and San Miguel, Leyte was a big success. God undoubtedly guided and protected us throughout the week that we spent there. He also opened up doors of opportunity for us to share to our families and the farmers the amazing love of God through His Son Jesus Christ. Because of the victory God has granted through this trip, it is our desire to go back there one day and continue to minister to the farmers by being a blessing to them in Jesus’ name.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported us through prayer and finances. God has truly used you to be a blessing to these wonderful people. Your obedience and generosity will be rewarded and we consider you blessed because you had the amazing privilege to bless others!

God bless you and we love you in Jesus’ name!

Sincerely,

Jennie, Kat & Karen

We were able to get a lot done today in preperation for our mission this coming Tuesday. We picked up our plane tickets from Cebu Pacific and also went shopping for all the items we will be needing. Kat's uncle took us to a wholesale shopping centre called "Makros" (similar to Costco) and we were able to buy all of the items for the goodie bags for the children and all the items for the giveaways for the farmers. We are still looking for the Waray Waray bibles to purchase, so please pray that we will be able to find a place that will have enough books (we would like to purchase 30 at least) as well as get them for a good price.

We will be publishing our itinerary soon :) Everything is going great and we are very excited for Tuesday! Thank you for all the prayers!

We were able to get a very good deal with Karen's friend from Cebu Pacific for our tickets to Leyte. We got tickets for about P3000 which is more than half off the original price (P7000), praise the Lord! We will be leaving on Tuesday, January 17 and will be arriving back in Manila on Monday, January 23rd.

We will be having a meeting today to budget all of our expenses for when we get to San Miguel. We are so blessed to have so many people from San Miguel here in Kamias who can help us budget accordingly and give us tons of advice from who to talk to and where to to get the things we need to make this mission a success.

Thank you again for all your prayers :)

We are happy to report that we arrived in the Philippines last January 2nd safe and sound. We are in the process of canvassing for our tickets to Leyte. Please pray that we will be able to find the best price and for our continued safety.

We have been receiving the last few cheques from those who are supporting us financially. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We will be keeping you updated as often as we can, so make sure to check back.
